India has become more active in the production of chips. India has started construction of three chip factories.
The Government of India has started a project worth about US$ 15 billion to build three plants for the production of semiconductor integrated circuits. This was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an online ceremony on the occasion of the start of construction of new plants. In his speech, Prime Minister Modi announced plans to accelerate the production of Indian-made semiconductors and promised that India would become a world leader in this high-tech sector in the near future. The main contractor for the project is the Tata Group, one of India's largest industrial groups, which includes companies from the telecommunications and information technology, engineering, materials, services, energy, consumer goods and chemical sectors. The Tata Group, along with a major Taiwanese chip maker, will build a chip manufacturing plant in the western state of Gujarat, which will be the country's first semiconductor manufacturing facility. Another company from the same group will b
